The National Paramedical & Engineering Council (NPEC), Islamabad is a professional organization formed under the Government’s support to provide quality paramedical, health, and engineering education. Along with accreditation from respected organizations and colleges, NPEC offers distance learning, fast-track, online, competency-based, and regular education programs. These programs are designed especially for life-experienced learners, working professionals, and students who wish to upgrade their skills.
NPEC works through a public–private partnership model. The active involvement of the Employers Federation of Pakistan (EFP) and private sector institutions has been a key factor in the success of NPEC, Islamabad. The council is affiliated with recognized organizations and colleges and is actively engaged in promoting distance learning education.
NPEC also works with the Trade Testing Council to design, develop, and manage vocational, technical, professional, and IT training programs. These programs are:

- Employer-focused, developed with maximum input from industries.
In addition, NPEC provides customized training courses based on the specific needs of institutions and organizations. Training Needs Assessment Surveys are conducted regularly to identify requirements, and new programs are scheduled to match those needs.
